Sorrow is my silent companion,
Walking beside me day and night.
Amidst laughter, I dwell alone,
For the heart weeps in its hidden throne.
Dreams that once reached for the sky,
Shattered like glass, scattered awry.
Joy slips away before the touch,
Leaving behind a lasting ache.
Dawn follows the endless night,
Yet my dawn drowns on the path.
Two tear-soaked eyes search in vain,
Seeking a morsel of peace again.
I ask the moon, "Why are you alone?"
The moon weeps too, in silence grown.
For whom I burn so bright and true,
What worth am I in their view?
Raindrops against the windowpane
Write tales of sorrow in the night.
Eyes halt as they read the lines,
Old grief awakens from its shrine.
A heart filled with so much to say,
The deep pain of silence finds its way.
Those who could listen and understand,
Have vanished into a distant land.
Yet still I live, still I stand today,
Adorning myself with a hopeful ray.
Perhaps on some blessed morn,
Happiness will drift in on a gentle breeze.
If sorrow is but a river's flow,
Then life is the boat that onward goes.
Patience shall be the boatman's guise,
Steering me to the shore of skies.
Every wound shall bloom into flower,
In the darkness, light will tower.
Then sorrow will be a memory old,
Fading away as time unfolds.
Walking beside me day and night.
Amidst laughter, I dwell alone,
For the heart weeps in its hidden throne.
Dreams that once reached for the sky,
Shattered like glass, scattered awry.
